Children's Miracle Network

Children’s Miracle Network has grown dramatically since its founding in 1983 from a televised fundraiser in a small studio to one of the North America’s leading children’s charities. The organization was founded by Marie Osmond and her family as well as John Schneider, Mick Shannon and Joe Lake and it set out with two simple goals:

1. Help as many children as possible by raising funds for children’s hospitals.

2. Keep funds in the community in which they were raised to help local children.

In 30 years, Children’s Miracle Network has raised $4.7 billion, most of it $1 at a time. But the need is ever-present. Right now there’s a Children’s Miracle Network member hospital working to save the lives of kids in your community. In fact, 62 children enter a Children’s Miracle Network Hospital for treatment every minute — that’s one child every second. Some are battling cancer. Some are suffering from a traumatic injury. Others require constant care because they were born too early, or with a genetic disease.

Regardless of why the kids are there, Children’s Miracle Network member hospitals always have their doors open. Our Network includes 170 hospitals that provide world-class care for every patient.

We have always been “givers”. We have and do contribute to many charitable organizations. When we bought our RE/MAX franchise in 1998 we were introduced to the Children’s Miracle Network and we knew that I had finally found my charity of choice. We are active REALTORS® and own three RE/MAX offices. All of our offices are Miracle offices meaning that every REALTOR® contributes a portion of each commission earned to Children’s Miracle Network… and most willingly we might add.

We support Children’s Miracle Network in every possible way from sitting as a panelist on the telethon to Festival of Trees, contributions to RE/MAX Miracle auctions and fundraising wherever we can help. We believe that you cannot keep what you have if you do not give it away. We choose to give both time and money to sick kids. Our children are our future and we must keep them as healthy possible. Children’s Miracle Network has become a part of who we are.

RE/MAX leads the way in real estate and fundraising for Children’s Miracle Network having raised over $55 million plus in Canada, bringing their international total to a landmark of $130 million plus. Children’s Miracle Network and their member hospitals appreciate all the wonderful fundraising that RE/MAX has achieved; helping more than 2.6 million children each year receive quality care from children’s hospitals across Canada.

We are proud of our 22 year partnership with Children’s Miracle Network. RE/MAX has designated August of each year to be the RE/MAX Month of Miracles. During the Month of Miracles consumers and agents alike will become familiar with the community contributions that RE/MAX makes through the Miracle Home Program. Over the past 20 years, RE/MAX agents have donated more than $52 million to their local Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals. The connection between RE/MAX agents and their clients has helped to care for over 2.6 million children that will walk through the doors of a children’s hospital each year.
