We love spending Canada Day out on the Village Green with the community in Ucluelet! Every year our local Army Navy & Air Force Colour Guard do the official march into the festival area, holding the Canadian flag high for all to see! Community members and visitors line up for the free hot dog BBQ and everyone eagerly anticipates the cutting of the Canada Day cake.
The celebrations take place on July 1st from noon to 3PM at 200 Main Street. That's just in front of the District building near the waterfront. This year there will be live entertainment from the local Tofino folk-roots group Smalltown Empire and The Poor Pistols.
The Ucluelet Market will be there too. Shop from local artisan vendors for handmade jewellery, clothing, crafts, visual art, photography, locally produced food items, and more. As usual, there will be activities for the kids and lots of Canada Day spirit!
